The Yak, a sacred animal in Tibet, also known as the Tibetan ox, is a large mammal that lives on the Tibetan/Himalayan plateau, used by man since ancient times both as a work animal and for meat, milk and wool. The fiber obtained from its hair, which it sheds naturally in early spring, is an excellent yarn for making clothing such as blankets and scarves.
These scarves / blankets are very soft and unique, they will warm you throughout the cold period, in every outfit the scarf is an accessory that must never be missing!
Given their size, they can also be used at the foot of a double bed or to completely cover a single bed, they will also be the essential accessory as a sofa blanket to cover you while watching TV.
Tests on Yak fiber have shown that it is warmer than other wools. The diameter of the fiber varies between 16 and 20 microns, making its softness comparable to that of cashmere.
By naturally shedding its fur, the animal is not subjected to violent and painful practices, making this product free from animal abuse. By purchasing this product you will also support the economy of small villages that live off this.
NB It is possible to wash this fabric by hand with cold water and neutral detergent, do not leave it to soak and rinse it with running water. DO NOT wring.
