The yak, a sacred animal in Tibet, also known as the Tibetan ox, is a large mammal that lives on the Tibetan/Himalayan plateau. It has been used by humans since ancient times both as a working animal and for its meat, milk, and wool. The fiber obtained from its hair, which it sheds naturally in early spring, is an excellent yarn for making clothing such as blankets and scarves.

These scarves/blankets are super soft and one-of-a-kind, they will warm you throughout the cold season, in every outfit a scarf is an accessory that should never be missing!

Given their size, they can also be used at the foot of a double bed or to completely cover a single bed, they will also be an essential accessory as a sofa blanket to cover yourself while watching TV.

Tests on yak fiber have shown it to be warmer than other wools. The fiber diameter varies between 16 and 20 microns, making its softness comparable to that of cashmere.

By naturally shedding its fur, the animal is not subjected to violent and painful practices, making this product free from animal abuse. By purchasing this product, you will also support the economies of small villages that live off this.

NB: This fabric can be hand-washed with cold water and a neutral detergent, but do not soak and rinse under running water. DO NOT wring.

Material: Yak wool / Himalayan wool / acrylic
